Our Beliefs
New Braunfels Christian Church
New Braunfels Christian Church is an independent Christian church that is not associated with any denomination. We accept the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith and practice. We exist to share the love of Christ and to do our part in helping fulfill the great commission Jesus Christ gave us in Matthew 28:18-20.
We feel that the best way you can truly understand what we believe and who we are is to join us one Sunday. We know that once you come and experience our loving church family and our refreshing worship services, you will want to call New Braunfels Christian Church your “home”.
The New Braunfels Christian Church is a part of a worldwide fellowship of people who desire to simply be “Christians”, nothing more, nothing less. NBCC was established 44 years ago to be a New Testament Christian Church patterned as closely as possible to those churches found in the New Testament.
Here is what we believe:
We believe in One God, the Father Almighty, who created all things visible and invisible. (Genesis 1:1, James 1:17)
We believe in Jesus Christ: God’s one and only Son and our one and only Savior; who was conceived of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary; who was crucified on the cross, died and buried; and who rose again bodily from the dead three days later; who ascended into Heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father. (John 1:14-18, John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 15:3-5)
We believe in the Holy Spirit who lives in every Christian. (Acts 1:7-8, 1 Corinthians 3:16)
We believe in the Bible, God’s Holy Word, and we believe that the scripture contained in it was inspired by God, Himself. (Isaiah 40:8, Romans 15:4)
We believe that faith in Jesus Christ, repenting of sin, confessing Him as our Lord and Savior and being immersed in baptism is the only way to enter into Heaven. (Romans 5:1-2, Acts 3:19, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 John 4:14-16, Romans 6:1-7, 1 Peter 3:21, Mark 16:16)
We remember Christ’s sacrifice for us each Sunday as we make Communion an important and vital part of or worship service. (Luke 22:14-22, Mark 14:22-25, Acts 2:42, Acts 20:7)
